The most delicious and easy way to make a protein

The most delicious and easy way to make a protein cold brew at home that not only tastes better than the drive through - but packs 26g protein and skips all the sugar.

Vanilla Cookie Protein Cold Foam

- 1/3 cup milk of choice (I used almond milk)
- 1 serving protein powder
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- Dash of cinnamon
- Dash of salt (I use a smoked salt that adds really yummy flavor!)
- 12 oz cold brew or iced coffee (I had a splash of almond milk already in mine but usually it’s black)

Use a hand frother to combine the milk, protein powder, maple, cinnamon, and salt until smooth and creamy and frothed up a bit.

Pour over cold brew or iced coffee, stir in some ice and enjoy!

As made above: 165 calories, 26g protein!

I aim for a minimum of 100g protein daily but prefer to get closer to my body weight each day in grams of protein. This keeps me full and satisfied longer than loading up on carbs and fat and I’m able to consume more food this way too while maintaining healthy weight loss and gaining strength.

Save this recipe to keep in your back pocket for guests, holiday gatherings, or any time you or your fam needs a chocolate chip cookie fix! Our neighbor shared a version of this recipe and it’s too good to keep secret!

They can be done gluten free or not & are perfect either way!

🍪 RECIPE:

- 3/4 cup salted butter, softened

- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 1 tbsp vanilla

- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk

- 2 cups gluten free (or traditional) all purpose flour (for GF I like the @bobsredmill 1:1 baking flour)

- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp salt, plus more for sprinkling on top if you like (we use flakey sea salt on top)
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups chocolate chips

1. Add the softened butter, sugars, and vanilla to a bowl or stand mixer and mix until smooth. Stir in the eggs.

2. Add the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, and mix until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.

3. Transfer the dough to the fridge and chill for 10-30 minutes while the oven preheats.

4. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

5. Scoop about 1/4 cup of cookie dough in tall mounds (I do two dough scoopers full stacked on top of each other like ice cream) for large cookies, and place them on the baking sheet at least a couple of inches apart.

6. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until just set in the middle and lightly golden brown around the edges.

7. Let the cookies cool on their baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack- and ENJOY!

A little bit of life lately 🤎 New hair, new fav drink treat, clean eats 90% of the time but loving those 10% fun foods too!

December is busy busy season with lots of birthdays and all of the holiday fun squeezed in - it’s hard not to feel overwhelmed, but also feeling so thankful at the same time. Wouldn’t have it any other way so I’m trying to lean into the chaos and just enjoy each day!

Currently brainstorming all of the things I can’t wait to share with yall. Next up - GF choc chip cookies you must make this season! Perfect for Santa 🤎🎄
