Welcome! I’m Jessie – wife to my amazing husband Dathan and mom to my sweet & full of life baby boy Hudson (who keeps me very busy!)

I’m a pediatric speech language pathologist turned full time food & lifestyle blogger and work from home mom… and loving every second!

My journey with clean eating started lots of years ago, after high school, when I lost a lot of weight quick (and not in the healthiest way) and then had no idea how to maintain that healthy weight without yoyo-ing up & down and navigating all of the “diets” out there.

I met my now husband when I was in college, who introduced me to the paleo diet. By his example, I started to think twice about the quality of my food and what I was using to fuel my body. After making some simple changes, I discovered how so many of the daily “symptoms” I was experiencing from skin flare-ups to digestive upset, fatigue, and migraine headaches were totally not normal – and could be influenced so much by the foods I ate.

After several rounds of Whole30 and some trial & error, I’ve found ways to keep healthy eating sustainable despite many busy seasons of life, plus a pregnancy and postpartum life with a baby and growing business.

Recipes that are easy, comfort food style delicious, and make lots of leftovers are the name of the game for me!

I’ve loved sharing my journey through maintaining my weight, improving my health, and growing a tiny human with my amazing readers here.

I’ve also connected with so many of you over cleaner products in other areas of life – beauty, home, for baby, etc. Clean living goes so far beyond the foods we eat, and it’s truly a passion of mine to discover the best things out there to create the healthiest home for my family.
