Chocolate Sea Salt Protein Granola | GF
My easy healthy granola recipe with a chocolatey protein boost!
Prep Time5 minutes mins
Cook Time20 minutes mins
Servings: 6
- 2 cups gluten free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts I like pecans in this!
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 egg white
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- flakey sea salt for topping
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients until well mixed.
Pour the granola mixture out onto the baking sheet in a single layer.
Transfer to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, then give it a gentle stir and continue baking for about 5 more minutes or until the granola is lightly browned on top. Place on a cooling rack and sprinkle with flakey sea salt over top.
Cool completely without mixing. The granola will harden as it cools and form those yummy clusters!
Honey or maple syrup work great for this recipe but I do find that honey helps create more sticky clusters which I personally love!
